ICT Group B.V., established in 1978, is a leading European provider of solutions in the field of industrial technology. Our Activities

Our unit Machine and Systems work a lot on projects to create a seamless machine-system interaction. Many customers have an ERP like system where data needs to be translated to commands for the machines. The different machines and systems used by customers use a variety of different technologies and protocols to interact. Protocols as OpcUa, Modbus, message busses and even low-level file exchange are used in our projects. Some software solutions will run as a background service but many of the solutions will have a user interface which can differ per customer. Examples we use in our projects are WPF, WinUI3, Vue.js, Blazor, etc. Hosting of the software solutions also differs foreach project, some solutions will run on premisses and others are hosted in the cloud where we mostly use Azure.

Because of all the different desired user interfaces, protocols and customer wishes in the projects we don’t have a lot of reusable software components. Many of the projects are really customer special and the software is newly created for the customer. Therefore it is important to design the software in a way to make it easy testable and structured to make sure we provide a good solution. We use clean architecture and solid principles to create testable software and add builds with unit- and integration tests to validate the software. The project team will review each other work before merging it, all to have the confidence on delivery of the result. The used principles will help easily solving issues found during testing and after delivery.
